Become an expert and coffee scientist with this next level workshop
This course is for those who enjoy drinking non-espresso brew methods and want to learn more about the differences in recipes, ratios and coffee methods, whether that is to run a filter program in a professional setting, or make a more consistently delicious cup of coffee at home.
Participants will be guided towards brewing different coffees in different brewing methods, building the ability to differentiate levels of extraction, sweetness, acidity, aftertaste and body, playing around with the different parameters.
Course outcomes:
Understanding of coffee beans structure and science behind the seed.
Extracting coffee in different ways: Immersion vs. Drip.
Learning more about different methods: Pour-overs, Aeropress, Syphon, Cold brew.
Comparing different ratios (Golden Ratio), grind settings, water temperature.
Training the palate to understand different levels of extraction (TDS).
